The day they thought they’d never see had finally arrived. Batman, Superman and MOV8 Women walking arm in arm down Corstorphine high street, fighting crime and high fees as they go…
Superhero Day!
Superhero Day flew in to the MOV8 offices on 15th May. Created by the charity, Cash For Kids, the day has seen superheros up and down the country raising money for this great cause.
Who’s Who of Supers
Our Leith office was transformed into the Bat Cave with ‘Vintage Batman’ ably assisted by Lego Batman. In Newington, Bat Girl and Marvel Man provided heroic service to our property buyers and sellers and raised further money for Cash For Kids. Our Corstorphine branch raised the bar even further with the the appearance of the Batman-to-end-all Batmans as well as Superman, Indiana Jones, Wonder Woman, Darth Vader, Lego Emmet and that most popular and famous of all superheroes, MOV8 Women!
Cakes were baked and sold at all offices to both clients and passers-by to raise further money for the charity. Clients, and their children in particular, were delighted to meet a variety of their favorite crime fighters when they visited us. Darth Vader probably terrified a few three-year olds although, to be fair, she was very well-behaved, resisted the temptation to destroy the Millenium Falcon, and put her awesome powers to good use, processing a ton of property valuations for our clients. Batman in particular was a huge hit with 14 month old Eloise and, if crime rates continue to fall in Edinburgh, will always have a bright future in childminding.
The efforts of the MOV8 team were also featured on Radio Forth 1 & 2! Maybe you heard our interview?
All for a Great Cause
As well as having great fun in the office we managed to raise £148.10 for Cash For Kids. Cash For Kids is a national charity that gives grants to local community groups working with disadvantaged children and young people. It’s a hugely worthwhile cause, improving the lives of children in the local community daily and it was an honour to be able to contribute to the great work that it does.
