Selling a home with MOV8 combines an estate agency fee from 0.6% plus VAT with a fixed conveyancing fee from £795 plus VAT.
Our fees are agreed with you at the outset and confirmed in a written quote before you instruct us.
The HomeOwners Alliance puts typical sole agency estate agent fees at 1.2% to 1.8% of the selling price including VAT, which is about 1% to 1.5% before VAT. MOV8 charges from 0.6% plus VAT if the fee is paid upfront, or from 0.75% plus VAT if it is paid on settlement.

Do solicitor fees include LBTT (stamp duty)?
No. Land and Buildings Transaction Tax is a tax paid by the buyer to Revenue Scotland. Your solicitor works out what is due and pays it for you as part of the purchase, and your quote shows it separately from the legal fee. Sellers pay no LBTT.
